Bute Park
About: Bute Park is Cardiff's biggest city centre park, with 130 acres of meadows, woodland and parkland to explore. Bute Park is the perfect place for spotting wildlife, hunting for sculptures, learning about the history of the park and lots more. They have a number of different free trails for everyone: families, couples and hikers as well as huge open space to have picnics, play outdoor games with the family or just to have a walk round.

Roath Park
About: One of Cardiff's most popular parks, with a path that wraps around the entire lake. There is plenty of thriving wildlife around the lake, beautiful flowers and smells in the wild gardens and fun to be had on the recreation grounds. Dogs do need to be kept on leads around the park however they can still enjoy a walk round the park with you! This is a perfect park for outdoor recreation, picnics, walks and row and pedal boats available to hire. Life jackets are provided for children, and there’s also a small pedal section just for the little ones.

Llandaff Fields
About: Llandaff Fields is made up of a mixture of vast grassland and woodland, which is home to lots of wildlife. It is one of Cardiff's oldest parks and was traditionally known as playing fields by Cardiff Corporation. The park is situated in the valley of the River Taff where you'll find many varied places to picnic with family and friends- from open greens to private shady trees. This is fantastic open space that can be used for dog walks, picnics, sports and recreational activities!

Victoria Park
About: Victoria Park is one of Cardiff’s best-loved traditional parks. It is the perfect family-friendly park with a play area, splash pool for the kids entertainment, then tennis courts and a bowling grren for the adults! It is host to beatiful flower beds and plenty of open green space to walk or play. Dog walkers will be happy to know that it is also dog friendly so you can take your furry friends too!

Grange Gardens
About: This small, attractive Victorian park in the heart of Grangetown, boasts a good range of local outdoor recreational facilities but still retains its historic character. This is a great park to take the kids and let off some stream, have a delicious picnic or just have a walk around for a bit of light exercise.
