Live at Bute Park: New Concert Series Announced for Cardiff

Cardiff is set to host a new series of outdoor concerts next summer with the launch of Live at Bute Park.

Taking place on Coopers Field over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the event will feature headline artists and special guests in a vibrant open-air setting.

The first confirmed act is electronic music duo Basement Jaxx, who will headline on Sunday, August 24. Known for their high-energy performances and iconic hits like Red Alert and Where’s Your Head At, Basement Jaxx are making a return to major stages after a decade-long hiatus. Their 2025 summer tour will include Live at Bute Park as part of a series of headline festival appearances.

Live at Bute Park is a collaboration between Cardiff-based DEPOT Live and UK promoters Cuffe and Taylor. This partnership has already brought nearly 30 high-profile shows to adjacent Cardiff Castle over the past two years. DEPOT has also contributed significantly to the city’s music scene over the last seven years, hosting hundreds of acts and cementing Cardiff’s reputation as a hub for live music.

With a capacity of up to 15,000, the new concert series aims to expand Cardiff’s late-summer outdoor music offerings. Tickets for Live at Bute Park go on sale at 10 am on Friday and can be purchased through depotlive.co.uk and ticketmaster.co.uk.
