Reindeer

  1. On an old, gold ornament, paint two circles of white where they overlap for an area for the eyes and let dry.
  2. Then paint two black dots for eyes in the center of the two white circles and let it dry.
  3. Then paint a black or red nose in the center where the two white circles meet and add a little mouth shape underneath the nose and let dry.
  4. Attach some twigs as antlers to the top of the ornament with hot glue.
  5. Then cut out a triangle ear shape from brown paper and bend inwards slightly and put a thin line of hot glue right in front of the twig antler and glue down.

Santa

  1. On an old, red ornament, paint a thick line of black paint around the middle of the ornament and let dry.
  2. Cut out a small rectangle of the gold glitter paper or create a belt buckle shape with glue and add glitter, then cut a smaller rectangle in the middle to make it look like a belt buckle.
  3. Then hot glue the buckle to the center of the black line to look like a Santa belt.

Salt dough is child friendly and a perfect decorating tool!

All you need to do is:

  1. Mix 1 cup of salt, 2 cups of flour, and 3/4 cups of water (and optional food coloring).
  2. Knead until all mixed.
  3. Then roll out the dough and cut with Christmas shaped cookie cutters.
  4. Use a skewer to poke a hole in the top to make room for string to hand the ornament.
  5. Then bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
  6. Once it has been baked, you can then add decorations to the salt dough with hot glue.

Who knew that a pom pom could make such a good santa ornament?

You will need a white pom pom, faux fur trim, red felt, scissors, hot glue gun, smaller pom poms, wire or pen (for glasses) and strong to attach to the top of the ornament.

All you need to do is:

  1. Cut a 3" x 3" square of red felt into 2 triangles, then use hot glue to attach on 2 sides.
  2. Hot-glue the faux-fur trim around the bottom and a small white pom-pom.
  3. Twist silver craft wire into 2 loops and trim edges to create Santa's glasses or you can simply draw the glasses on with felt-tip.
  4. Hot-glue the glasses and a small pink pom-pom nose to make his face.
  5. Then add some string to the top of the ornament to hang on the tree.
Twig Ornament

Twig Ornament

Who knew a twig could create a stunning, rustic ornament for your trees or fireplaces!

  1. Find some twigs in the garden, big or small depending on how big you'd like your ornament to be.
  2. Then you want some coloured twine or string to tie together the beautiful nature-inspired ornaments for your tree.
  3. Then why not start creating a pattern inside the twig silhouette with the left over twine.

If you fancy this for a garland you can also attach your creations to a longer piece of twine or string!

Glass Snowglobe Ornaments

These are the perfect way to get creative this Christmas as you can fill them with absolutely anything including, with wood, fake snow, or mini Christmas trees — the options are endless.

You can find these snow globe ornaments from online shops such as Amazon or Hobbycraft!
