7 Ways to Fundraise for Red Nose Day

Comic Relief or better known as Red Nose Day is a national fundraising day where everyone around the Country take part in events to raise money for charities for the result of ending child poverty around the world!

Usually schools, offices, supermarkets and many more establishments take part in fundraising events on this day, however due to lockdown we are unable to, so to give you a helping hand we’ve got a few easy ways of raising money for charity.

Fancy Dress

Come dressed up in any fancy dress you wish on your virtual meetings for work or even at school! By doing this you could make sure everyone who comes in some sort of fancy dress pays at least £1 into a charity bucket. This way the money will soon add up and make a lot of money from something so simple. This is a great way of raising money for charity because everyone has fun as well as being able to fundraise for such an important cause like red nose day!

Virtual Quiz

Again, whether it’s through work, friends, make a fun virtual quiz for everyone to take part in and everyone who plays must pay money into a charity bucket which will soon add up. You can make a statutory amount that people pay or just ask people to pay whatever money they have. This is a really good way of getting people to fundraise by doing something competitive which gets people involved.

Virtual Charity Bake off

Challenge each other to a great charity virtual bake off for Red Nose Day to discover untapped talent from those around the office, school or community! All proceeds made from sponsoring a specific baker or just the bake off itself, will go to comic relief or chosen charities involved with this great cause.

Get sponsored

Get supported to do something like a sponsored run, cycle, walk, games and lots more! This is a great way to fundraise because you can get a lot of people to sponsor you doing any of these events. Anything like a sponsored run to a specific place will soon add up!

Run a virtual raffle

Everybody loves a raffle! The suspense of picking out specific ticket number and waiting to see if you’ve won is all part of the fun! It requires a lot less manpower than other fundraisers, they have a high potential for returns, and can be done at a relatively low cost, especially if you get a sponsor or donation.

Non-Uniform Days

Non- uniform days are always a common favourite when it comes to fundraising at school because everyone loves a dress down day. This is a great way of making a lot of many and not having to take up too much of your time and it’s an easy set up. You can make a set amount as low or high as you want to which you want people to pay when they come in non-uniform.

12/24 Hour Challenges

How about you take on a challenge for a certain number of hours virtually with friends, work colleagues, family members like singing, dancethon, cycling and many more. This is a great way to fundraise because you can get people to sponsor you to hit targets and make you work towards a goal!
