Located in a former cocktail bar on High Street, near Cardiff Castle, Terra Mare has transformed the space into a stylish 50-seat dining room, complemented by bar seating and an outdoor terrace.
The main dining area features dark green panelling and cosy booth seating, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. The décor reflects Mediterranean influences, with bespoke details throughout the bar and wine display cabinets.
The menu is deeply rooted in Puglian culinary traditions, featuring daily handmade pastas crafted by Chef Francesco Germinario.
Chef Francesco draws inspiration from his heritage and experience in top London kitchens, blending tradition with innovation.
Terra Mare offers a variety of dining experiences, from small plates to a full seven-course tasting menu. Dishes range from cicchetti and antipasti to dolce, allowing guests to explore the full breadth of Italian dining.
Signature dishes include wood pigeon with squash, burnt leek, and shaved cacao; a seafood stew with cuttlefish, mussels, and langoustine; and grilled octopus with nduja and cannellini beans.
A set menu offers two courses for £25 or three courses for £30.
In the bar area, patrons can enjoy a selection of craft cocktails, draught beer, and premium wines, alongside a bar snacks menu.
Options include deep-fried fish with seaweed and olive-caper mayo, bruschetta with stracciatella and anchovies, and slow-cooked beef ragu with orecchiette pasta.
